Our current work includes involvement in on-going EU-funded Projects:
- Operationalisation of Natural Capital and Ecosystem Services, OpenNESS, our focus here is on the conceptualisation of ecosystem services and the use of participatory scenarios (FP7).
- Enhancing Ecosystem Services Mapping for Policy and Decision Making, ESMERALDA, where we are working on integrated assessments and their link to mapping ecosystem services (H2020).
We are also undertaking work to support the European Environment Agency in the context of the EU MAES process. MAES refers to the mapping and assessment of ecosystem services undertaken in conjunction with Action 5 of the European Biodiversity Strategy, 2020. A key focus of our work here includes the preparation of guidelines and updates for the Common International Classification of Ecosystem Services (CICES)
